Rene Herse M6 Aluminum Nuts

These M6 aluminum nuts are used on Rene Herse cantilever brakes with direct pad mounting, allowing you to convert your Rene Herse brakes to direct pad mounting. Remove the toe-in washers and replace the thinner steel nuts with these thicker aluminum nuts.

Rene Herse used the same nuts on his classic stems, so these are perfect for restorations, too.

Pro Tip: These nuts also fit on the seatpost binder bolts of classic Rene Herse bikes, although Rene Herse preferred steel nuts for the extra clamping force that sometimes is required in this application.
