Jenna on the Podium at UCI Fayetteville
Congratulations to Jenna Rinehart for an excellent race at this year’s first American race in the UCI Gravel World Series. Placing second at the Highlands Gravel Classic in Fayetteville, AR, Jenna also qualified for the UCI Gravel World Championships in the Netherlands later this year.
After the race, Jenna reported: “I came to defend my title from last year, on a course with 68 very rugged miles and 7,000 feet of climbing. Together with Crystal Anthony and Laura King, the three of us broke away from the other women fairly early and pushed each other all the way to the finish line. Crystal got a gap on a climb at mile 53 and left Laura and me chasing. Eventually I found myself solo in 2nd, chasing hard for the last 10 miles with Crystal in sight. In the end it came down to just 10 seconds, with Crystal getting a well-deserved win.”

What about Jenna’s bike and tires? “I ended up running the same setup as last year, with a knobby Manastash Ridge 44s in the front and a smooth Snoqualmie Pass 44s in the rear, both with Endurance casings. It was maybe a little risky running the slick in the back on such a rugged course, but that tire just feels so fast!”
Congrats Jenna (and Laura and Crystal)—for the podium as much as for qualifying for the UCI World Championships!
