Canadian and other international orders

Many of our international customers wonder what happens when they order from Rene Herse Cycles these days. Especially Canadian customers may worry about the reciprocal 25% tariff that’s imposed on many imports from the U.S.

The good news is that those tariffs affect only products that originate in the U.S. Most components and tires in the Rene Herse program are imported from other countries, simply because there is no source in the U.S. for supple high-performance tires, forged cranks and brakes, or any of the other components that we’ve developed. The web page for each product shows the country of origin (under ‘Tech Specs’), so you’ll know whether your order will be assessed tariffs or not.

We’ve also made sure that our shipping database is accurate, so that the correct country of origin and tariff codes are shown on your commercial invoice, which is used to determine whether your shipment is subject to tariffs. We’re doing all we can to keep things running smoothly in this difficult situation.

Beyond that, we want to apologize to our international customers for the current situation. Cycling—and Rene Herse Cycles especially—always has been about bringing people from different countries together. We will do all we can to keep this spirit of international cooperation and friendship alive.

Thank you for continuing to work with us.
