Adrien Liechti Wins Hellenic Mountain Race
A huge congrats to Adrien Liechti, winner of the inaugural edition of the Hellenic Mountain Race! Created by the folks behind the Silk Road Mountain Race and Atlas Mountain Race, the all-new Hellenic Mountain Race is a 940-kilometer unsupported bikepacking race through the rugged mountains of Greece.
Traversing the steep slopes of Greece’s Pindus Mountains, enduring rain, snow and knee pain, the former bike messenger pushed on with minimal rest, taking first place less than two hours ahead of second-place finisher Manuel Truccolo. Adrien rode on Rene Herse 29″ x 2.2″ Fleecer Ridge Endurance tires. Famous for his superb mustache and the fact that he likes to ride to the start of these far-flung races, Adrien’s comment at the finish was: “It’s time to eat now!”
We can’t wait to hear the full story of this amazing race. Well done, Adrien!
