Katherine and Brennan Selected for UCI Gravel World Championships
This year is the second time that the UCI holds the Gravel World Championships. USA Cycling has announced the roster they are sending to Veneto, Italy, to take on the best racers in the world. We’re excited to see these two outstanding athletes selected as part of the national team.
Katherine Sheridan (@klutzykatherine) has been racing on the European gravel scene this year, with top-ten finishes in some of the biggest races. Her favorite tires are the 700C x 38 Barlow Pass, and that’s what she’ll probably run at the UCI Gravel World Championships.
Brennan Wertz (@brennan.wertz) placed third at the inaugural USA Gravel National Championships, which earned him an automatic spot on the national team. His mission is clear: “We’re all there to support Keegan Swenson,” referring to the current superstar of U.S. gravel racing. But world championships are unpredictable in many ways, and you never want to count out Brennan when it comes to rating potential podium finishers.
We wish both Katherine and Brennan the best of luck in Italy. We’ll make sure they start the big race on fresh Rene Herse tires.
