$10 Water Bottles
We think water bottles should be fun and affordable. When we introduced our water bottles many years ago, we priced them at $10. Back then, we didn’t feel like charging a premium to riders who wanted to show their love of supple tires. That was a decade ago. Since then, the world has changed in more ways than one, but our water bottles still cost $10.
Why didn’t we jack up the price? Well, first of all, we hate changing prices. Honestly, it’s a hassle to calculate new prices and then change websites, price lists and all the other places where the prices appear. And we just like the idea of a $10 water bottle. As long as we can do this without losing money, we’ll keep the price the same.
Our Rene Herse bottle has become a classic. It’s a simple design that works with many bike colors and styles. We like clear bottles because we can see how much drink we’ve got left—important during long rides and races. But the contents of clear bottles gets hot when the sun shines. The large printed panels keep the sun out and your drink cooler.
The bottle itself is the same Purist 24 oz. that’s become the industry standard: simple, lightweight and reliable. Let’s hope we’ll be able to keep the price at $10 for many years to come.
