Poteau Mountain Semi-Slicks in All Casings

The wait is over! All casings of the new Poteau Mountain semi-slicks are in stock. That means you can get our revolutionary semi-slick tread, with its round profile and gradual transition from slick center to side knobs, in the two most popular widths—44 and 48 mm—with a choice of casings perfectly adapted to your riding style and terrain:

  • The Standard casing is our more affordable option: comfortable and fast, yet also strong to withstand considerable abuse.
  • The Extralight casing takes the performance, comfort and feel of your bike to an entirely new level.
  • The Endurance casing is reinforced for extra sidewall protection and puncture resistance, while retaining the speed and comfort for which Rene Herse tires are famous.
  • The Endurance Plus casing provides the ultimate in sidewall protection for extremely tough conditions.

In fact, the new Poteau Mountains have already proven themselves on the mountain that inspired them. At the Arkansas High Country Race, Andy Zolyak won the women’s race over the Central Loop. She took the photo above of the new Poteau Mountain on its namesake mountain.

Congratulations, Andy! Her verdict after a tough race: “The Poteau Mountains were flawless. So fast on pavement; perfect for just time-trialing the finish into Russellville, but they also dug into corners perfectly, like the Oracle Ridges.” Andy was riding the Endurance casing.

The new Poteau Mountains aren’t the only tires that have just arrived. We’ve also got more of the 44 mm semi-slicks, the Corkscrew Climbs. These are Brennan Wertz’ favorite tires. (Above, he’s crossing the line in first at the recent Old Fashioned Gravel race.) A few other tire models had also run out. Now all Rene Herse tires in all casings are back in stock.

We also received more Tubeless Supple Sealant. Specifically developed to seal the flexible sidewalls of supple tires, it’s what we recommend when you set up your Rene Herse tires tubeless. Other sealants can work, too, but Supple Sealant makes the process much easier and hassle-free.

And if you don’t run your tires tubeless, we also got—in a separate shipment—more TPU tubes. All sizes and valve types are back in stock. Some are already running low once pre-orders have been shipped. The same applies to some casings of the new Poteau Mountain tires—they are selling faster than we can make them. Get yours while supplies last!
