700C x 28 Chinook Pass

$62.00$80.00

Enjoy the comfort and speed of supple tires on your road bike. We name our tires after the passes in the Cascade Mountains that have inspired them: Chinook Pass (photo) branches off from Cayuse Pass and heads to Eastern Washington. The road takes you up to the treeline, and as you round Tipsoo Lake, you get the most spectacular vista of Mount Rainier – especially in the morning, when the glaciers glow in the early sunlight.

All Rene Herse tires combine the performance of high-end tubular tires with the convenience of clinchers and the width for all-road riding. The Standard casing is a more affordable option that also offers extra protection against sidewall cuts on sharp rocks. The Extralight casing takes the performance, comfort and feel of your bike to an entirely new level.

The Chinook Pass requires tubes. We recommend the SV15 or SV20 tubes.

Rene Herse tires combine the performance of high-end tubular tires with the convenience of clincher. The supple casings roll smoothly over surface irregularities. The tread pattern interlocks with the road surface for superior cornering grip, whether your roads are wet or dry. The tread has enough thickness in the center to last many miles, but it's thin and supple on the shoulders where it doesn’t wear. All models feature:
  • Clincher, folding bead
  • Maximum pressure: 105 psi (7.4 bar)
Standard casing
  • Supple casing
  • Tan sidewalls
  •  248 g
Extralight casing
  • Ultra-light, ultra-supple casing
  • Black or tan sidewalls
  • 229 g
