Poteau Mtn Launch Party & Ride
Colorado-based Rene Herse ambassador Hailey Moore here! For the last four years, I’ve relied on RH rubber for everything from my daily training rides, to three finishes at the Unbound 200, bike tours across the US and abroad, and bikepacking races (and ITTs). Based in Boulder, I feel lucky to live in a place with an abundance of both readily accessible dirt farm roads and steep canyon climbs.

A lot of my day-to-day riding includes a mix of off-road climbing, smooth fast gravel, and paved descents, so I was especially excited when Rene Herse debuted their semi-slick tread pattern in the Corkscrew Climb earlier this year. To me, the semi-slick design makes for the perfect mixed-surface daily driver, when you don’t know exactly where the ride will take you when you leave the doorstep. The addition of the semi-slick Poteau Mountain ups the capability for this hybrid lug pattern and has easily become my new favorite offering from Rene Herse! (As part of the test team, I got prototypes before they were released.)

As a send-off and celebration of the summer riding season, and to give Boulder-area riders the chance to win a pair of Poteau Mountain tires, I’m teaming up with Treehouse Cyclery to host a group ride and community meet-up on Wednesday, September 17, starting at 5:30 p.m.! Come and join us for a no-drop ~1.5-hour ride, followed by food, drinks, and a Poteau Mountain tire raffle back at the shop! Find all the details below and be sure to follow Treehouse on Instagram for info on more community events!
- When: Wednesday, Sept 17, meet at 5:30 pm, roll out at 5:40
- Where: Start/end Treehouse Cyclery (2480 49th St Suite C, Boulder, CO 80301)
- What: Mixed-surface group ride followed by the Poteau Mountain semi-slick raffle + community hang with food/bevs
- Route: Up Chapman, down Flagstaff – https://ridewithgps.com/routes/52513130
- Other Need-to-Know’s:
- The days are rapidly getting shorter—bring lights! Our route will take the Boulder Creek path to Chapman Road with the plan to climb smooth dirt up Chapman (closed to cars) and descend Flagstaff (paved). However, if some riders prefer to descend back down Chapman again (due to low-light conditions), they are free to do so, but will be responsible for themselves to re-route back to Treehouse.
- We have ONE pair of Poteau Mountain tires for the raffle, and Treehouse expects to have a limited supply in-stock for sale as well.
- RSVP here. Looking forward to riding and hanging together!
