Mercer Island Loop

Route Description

Take the bike trail along I-90 to Mercer Island. The road around the perimeter of the island sees little traffic as it winds in and out of the many ravines that dot the east side of the island. A few sharp rises and more gentle undulations will test your legs. It’s a favorite training route, and on many days, you’ll find a paceline to work with if you are so inclined. Or just enjoy riding through the forest without leaving the city. Cafes and grocery store at the start/end point in Leschi.
