Thinking of Texas Hill Country

Our hearts go out to the people of the Texas Hill Country after the devastating flash floods. Far too many children have died in recent years all over the world. Each of them is incredibly precious.

Last week’s events hit close to home for me. This is where I started racing and riding as a young college student. That’s my then-only bike on one of many tours into the Hill Country. I’ll never forget the friendliness and generosity of the people I met. It was then and there that I decided to make the U.S. my home.
