On Top of the World – BQ 70

When we got one of the first prototypes of the new Crust Canti Lightning Bolt for testing, we decided to really take it to the limit: How would it perform on a 36-hour adventure in the Cascade Mountains? We took it from Seattle to the highest roads on Mount St. Helens and Mount Rainier.

In the short clip above, we’re heading toward the end of the road at Windy Ridge. The truncated cone of Mount St. Helens comes into view, illuminated by the setting sun. It’s one of those moments that make these adventures so special.

For the full story of this adventure (and the bike test), check out the Winter Bicycle Quarterly. The last mailing of this edition has left Seattle, but you can still get a copy as a back issue – or simply add it to your order from Rene Herse Cycles. There is a prompt when you check out. (As long as supplies last.)
