Thank you!

Thank you!

This post is to say ‘Thank you!’

It’s no secret that times are difficult. The news are not encouraging. Businesses everywhere are struggling, and we’re not exempt.

We appreciate your orders at all times, but now they are doubly important. As we take turns working in our empty office and warehouse, we’re encouraged by the nice notes that you leave in the ‘Comments’ field of your orders.

We’ve noticed that more than usual, you renew your Bicycle Quarterly subscriptions for two or three years. We appreciate the vote of confidence – yes, we plan to keep publishing for much longer than that! – and support. Many have given gift subscriptions to friends. Hopefully, the magazine will brighten their day during these shelter-at-home times.

Our customers – you – are our community. We appreciate your encouragement. We’ll continue to work hard to earn your trust and support. We’ll get through this difficult time together. Thank you!

Hi there, would love to give you a bit more than just ‘moral support’ but with working short time, the AUD/USD exchange rate falling apart and those nasty USPS people wanting their pound of flesh for freight to Aus, about the best I can manage is to keep riding and dreaming of future bike parts requirements! Best wishes from Australia – the situation looks pretty grim over there in some areas. Don’t forget – think positive…but test negative!

Hello. I love bikes and cycling, but have very, very techincal understanding. I’d like to learn more. As I read the quarterly and the blog, I am quite aware how little I know and understand. So what would you all recommend I do, read, watch to help? Thanks so much. Feel free to respond here or by email,

I think if there’s anybody that should be thanked, it’s really you!
Keep up your spirits, and stay safe!

A group of us pitched in to buy a pair of extralight Babyshoe Passes as a birthday present for a friend. There doesn’t seem to be any extralight versions available at european retailers, and I would like to support what you guys do directly if it’s not prohibitively expensive.

What is the situation with international shipping currently, do you know? How much does shipping, VAT and customs total to if ordering from you into EU?

Thanks, and keep doing what you’re doing!

We’re shipping world-wide. Only a tiny handful countries have suspended shipping – most appear to be in Africa, so there are three magazines for Bicycle Quarterly subscribers that are held right now, waiting for things to improve.

When you do order from us, you can see the shipping before you check out. And if we figure out a less expensive way, we’ll refund you. (This usually happens if we can fit parts into a smaller package than the shopping cart predicts.)

However, we cannot control customs and VAT – you’ll be the importer and, depending on your country, this can require a trip to the custom’s office. That is why we usually recommend buying from a local shop or ordering from our European distributors. And yet, we ship hundreds of orders directly to Europe each year with very, very few problems.

Try in Berlin. According to his website Goetz has the Babyshoes in stock.
